KDF 55 Media could produce eletricity exchange reaction and remove heavy metal ,cop-per,lead,mercury ,arsenic etc. It widely used along with activated carbon to maximise the filter efficiency.Generally KDF55 Media is used in a purification system as a prefilter,before finer stage of filtra-tion, such as ,reverse osmosis,deionization and ion exchange systems.

1. Working principle of KDF55: When it is used in water, a chemical reaction - oxidation-reduction will occur. Electrons are transferred between molecules during redox reaction. For example, free chlorine can be changed into beneficial substances such as chloride through this reaction and then passed through the filter. Similarly, heavy metals such as copper, lead and mercury react and precipitate on the surface of the filter material, so as to effectively filter out the water.

2. Utilization of KDF55 in high water temperature (0-100 ℃): For example, KDF55 is not affected by hot water shower system; In the shower, you will be less vulnerable to chlorine.

3. Backwashing:The backwash flow rate shall be twice the normal flow rate, and the time shall be no more than 10 minutes; Clean and rinse for 3 minutes; Not less than twice a week. Low water temperature can reduce the recoil speed, while high temperature can reduce the recoil speed.

4. Cleaning: If the filter material is not backwashed for a long time or is not used, causing hardening, backwashing can be carried out, and the metal filter material shall be cleaned with hydrochloric acid.Dissolve concentrated hydrochloric acid in water to obtain prepared acid with PH value greater than 2.5, pour it into the metal filter material to leach the filter material, and conduct backwashing for 20 minutes; Until the PH value of the effluent water is the same as that of the influent water.
