Working principle

1.Exhaust flows in
Diesel exhaust gas enters the SiC DPF, which is a porous, wall-flow ceramic filter made of silicon carbide.
2.Soot is trapped
Soot particles (black smoke) are captured in the filter walls and pores, while clean gas passes through.
3.Regeneration burns soot
When soot builds up, high exhaust temperature or fuel injection raises the filter temperature.
The trapped soot burns into CO₂ and water vapor, cleaning the filter.
4.Continuous emission control
The process repeats: filter traps soot → regenerates → keeps exhaust clean to meet emission standards.
