Ceramic foam filter is just developed as a new type of molten metal filters to decrease casting flaw in recent years. It is made from high quality ceramic materials, whose main components are Al2O3, Sic, ZrO2. Ceramic Foam Filter has the characters of light weight, high mechanical strength, large specific surface areas, high porosity, excellent thermal shock resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and high temperature stability in molten metal. With the distributing pores net structure, they are able to increase the surface areas, and absorb the sinter, the liquid metal becomes more pure, waster quality problems such as sand pore and air pore are much less and the cast quality becomes much better.

Product details

Alumina ceramic foam filter is a new type of low density, high porosity and with three dimensional network skeleton structure of the filter. And widely used in aluminum process industry for molten aluminum filtering, so as to improve aluminum quality. Alumina ceramic foam filter can effectively removes non-metal solid mixture from aluminium and aluminium alloy fusant, reduce trapped gas and provide laminar flow and then the filtered metal is significantly cleaner. Cleaner metal results in higher-quality castings,less scrap, and fewer inclusion defects, to improve the quality of aluminum alloy and other non-ferrous alloy casting, all of which contribute to reduce casting cost, its maximum service temperature 1200° C.

Zirconia ceramic filter plate is a kind of ceramic filter plate, which is made of zirconia based ceramic slurry and organic foam which is coated with three-dimensional mesh structure and connected pores on the skeleton, and then dried and cured and then roasted at high temperature. Three-dimensional mesh structure has a good rectification effect on turbulent metal flow, and has a good control effect on non-metallic inclusions and secondary oxidation caused by turbulent erosion cavity.
