Recently, 100mm HDPE shade balls for 40HQ container were sent out and it will be shipped to abroad. It will be used in a large reservoir. Actually there are some different with the regular one. We customized the ingredient and the package as for the client's requirement.
Sun shade ball,originally named "bird ball", it was initially used to protect birds from toxic ponds and reduce bird strikes at airports. In 2008, Los Angeles Water and Power Bureau tested it for water conservation, and in 2015, 96 million pieces were put into reservoirs to cope with drought, making it widely promoted globally.
Against the backdrop of global water scarcity and climate change, it solves the problems of water evaporation, water quality deterioration and bird protection. It is cost-effective, eco-friendly and easy to use, becoming an essential tool for water resource management.

- 1.Light shading & evaporation suppression: The black sun shade balls float on the water surface and form a dense coverage layer (with a shading rate of ≥90% when fully paved), which blocks direct sunlight from irradiating the water surface, reduces water evaporation (evaporation suppression rate of 70–90%), and reduces water loss.
- 2.UV resistance & material protection: The HDPE material with UV50+ resistance can resist outdoor UV radiation, avoid premature aging of the balls themselves, and at the same time prevent UV from accelerating the growth of algae in the water and the generation of bromate.
- 3.Stability maintenance: The hollow design makes the balls float stably on the water surface;
- 4.Pollution & contact prevention: The ball layer isolates the water surface from external pollutants and bird contact, reducing water pollution and the risk of bird damage to the water body.
